Abstract
This is a very famous dye plant in Mexico, their natural origin, where is called cempasúchil in spanish but maybe more commonly 'flor de muertos' or flower of the dead as it is used in Day of the Dead to decorate altars. They provide a beautiful color range from golden yellow to orange, and they also have a great smell.
In english they have a range of counfusing names such as african marigold or just marigold, which is also used to name other very different plants.

Description
They need hot summers and full exposure to sun to grow up to one meter high, and will last until winter if autumns are mild.
